SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the west, where a field of high pressure is weakening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Variable winds 5-10, toward the open of the South Adriatic in the afternoon still NW up to 16 knots. During the night calm or SE and SW winds 4-12 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open of the South Adriatic 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places during the night around 5 km due to mist, and in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, but cloud increase is expected from the west during the night.

Light to moderate SE and SW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Mist in places, and in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic a chance of fog. Gradual heavier cloud increase.
