LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF SE, IN THE OPEN SEA BEFORE THE MORNING OF NW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT.
SYNOPSIS
A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the west and it will shift rapidly across the Adriatic during the night and tomorrow.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and in a part of the Central, in the afternoon gradually in the rest of the Adriatic, wind turning to SE and strengthening to 6-16, in places in the evening up to 22 knots. Sea in the northern part, in the afternoon in the rest of the Adriatic as well, gradually increasing to 2-3. Visiblity 10-20 km. Cloud increase and scattered rain expected firstly in the open sea, in the afternoon gradually along the coast as well. Isolated rain showers with thunder are possible toward the end of the day.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
SE winds further strengthening to strong, in places up to near gale force, and turning in the open before the morning to NW. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
