A ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, in the open up to 20, turning in the North, in the afternoon in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, to NE 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, possibly up to 4, mainly in the North Adriatic. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy. In the North, around midday and in the afternoon along the coast of the rest of the Adriatic, isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected late in the day.
