IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH, IN THE AFTERNOON ALONG THE COAST OF THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC.
SYNOPSIS
A shallow field of low pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a trough with weakened front is shifting north of the Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE and SW winds 4-12, in the North Adriatic only in the morning NE 8-18, in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 1-2, locally in the northern part up to 3. Visibility10-20, in places with mist around 5 km. Fine or fair and very warm. In the North, in the afternoon along the coast of the rest of the Adriatic, cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
