IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, EASING IN THE AFTERNOON AND STRENGTHENING AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC.
SYNOPSIS
A field of mean and almost equalized air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a weakened cold front is approaching from the north.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the greater part of the Adriatic calm or SW and NW winds 4-12 knots. In the North Adriatic NE and NW winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel NE up to 20 knots. Sea 1-2, then locally in the North Adriatic up to 3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
