A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, IN A PART OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST STILL OF SE WINDS AS WELL, 35-45 KNOTS, EASING LATER ON.
SYNOPSIS
A shallow field of low pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a frontal system is slowly shifting eastwards.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
W and NW winds 10-20, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW up to 24, and in a part of the South Adriatic at first still SE, 12-24, easing during the day to 6-16, only in places of the South Adriatic still up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, but partial clearing is expected in the North and Central Adriatic in the afternoon.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Light to moderate, only in places of the South Adriatic up to fresh NW, in the North Adriatic SW winds strengthening briefly and turning during the night to light to moderate NE and NW. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic possibly up to moderate. In the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, and in the extreme north of the Adriatic during the night a new cloud increase with a risk of rain or showers.
