SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is approaching from the west and it will be shifting slowly across the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and W, west of Istria SW winds, 10-20, and along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic this morning still SE winds 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open possibly up to 4 in the afternoon. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North and Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain and thunder, but brief clearing around midday. In the South Adriatic mostly clear.

West of Istria brief moderate and strong SE, elsewhere moderate and fresh NW and W winds. Sea slight, toward the open up to moderate. Gradual cloud increase with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the South Adriatic still mostly clear. Cooler.
