LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and S WINDS 35-45, IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY UP TO 50 KNOTS, EASING IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT. SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY UP TO 5. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL.
SYNOPSIS
A low centered over the Ligurian Sea is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE and S winds 15-25, strengthening in places during the day up to 30, in the open of the North and Central Adriatic up to 35 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, increasing duirng the day to 3-4, in the open to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with a risk of scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the North Adriatic.

Moderate to near gale force SE and S winds, easing gradually in the North Adriatic and turning to SW. Sea slight and moderate, in the open up to rough. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers in the North and Central Adriatic.
