A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 12-26, in places along the coast NE 8-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 , easing toward midday to 4-10, in the South and Central Adriatic to 14 knots. In the North Adriatic in the afternoon SE winds 4-12, in the open sea up to 16, and in the rest of the Adriatic NW winds easing to 4-8 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Clearing, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the forenoon still a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.
