IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS AROUND 35, IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING OF NE 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 50 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, MAINLY DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A field of raised air pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly SE and SW winds 5-15, strengthening in the afternoon and in the evening in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 10-20, in places of the North Adriatic up to 25 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic 2-3, increasing in the evening to 2-3, in the North Adriatic in the evening to 3-4. Visibility 20, in the North Adriatic 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but moderate cloud increase is expected. More clouds with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the North Adriatic, particularly during the night.

Mainly moderate SE winds. In the North Adriatic SE and SW winds moderate to strong, turning to moderate to strong NE. Sea smooth or slight, locally in the North Adriatic up to moderate. In the North Adriatic cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. Rain is possibly in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, while in the South Adriatic remaining clear.
