SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while moist and unstable air is circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Elsewhere NE and NW, in the South Adriatic at first SE winds 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, in the north of the Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but partial clearing is expected along the coast late in the day.

Along the coast mostly clear, in the open sea still scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North Adriatico moderate to strong, elsewhere light, only in places up to moderate, NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic up to moderate.
