SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifiyng from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 15-25, in the South Adriatic 25-35 knots. Along the west Istrian coast NW winds 6-12 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 4-5. Mostly clear. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but clearing is expected in the afternoon. Rather cold.

Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic gradual cloud increase. In the North Adriatic light SW, elsewhere moderate to strong NE and NW winds, gradually easing in the second part of the night. Sea smooth or slight, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
