SYNOPSIS

A low over the Aegean Sea is gradually filling up and shifting southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds, along the west Istrian coast 8-16, elsewhere 10-20, in places up to 25 knots. Sea in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 2-3, elsewhere 3-4. Visibility 20-30 km. Mostly clear with some variable cloud cover in the North Adriatic. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear with some moderate cloud cover in the North Adriatic. Along the coast light to moderate NE, toward the open sea light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth, toward the open sea slight, in the open of the South Adriatic, toward the Strait of Otranto, up to moderate.
