A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Apennine peninsula eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and E winds 10-20, in places up to 24, easing in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the day to 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20-30 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic still with some passing variable cloudiness this morning. Air temperatures lower.
