SYNOPSIS
A trough with cold front has approached the Adriatic from the northwest and it is expected to shift southeastwards.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE winds 16-36 knots, turning in the North Adriatic to NW, north of Istria to NE, 10-20, in the open up to 24 knots. Sea 3-4, locally toward the open up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder.

In the South, at first in the Central Adriatic as well, overcast with rain, showers and thunder. Elsewhere variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, moderate to fresh, locally in the open up to strong, NW winds. In the South, at first in the Central Adriatic as well, strong to gale force SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the South, at first in the Central Adriatic as well, up to rough.
