A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 4-12, toward the open sea NW 6-16, gradually easing to 4-10 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NE and N winds 12-24 knots, easing in the Central Adriatic late in the day. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the first part of the day still variably cloudy with a risk of rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder.

Light, in places of the Central Adriatic up to moderate, NE and NW, in the South Adriatic moderate to strong NE and N winds, gradually easing in the second part of the night. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic at first still up to moderate. Fine or fair.
