SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is rapidly weakening and a deep trough with cold front is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SW, in places of the South Adriatic at first still N winds, 6-16, strengthening to 10-20, in the North Adriatic to 15-30 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing in the North, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic, to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with rain in places, particularly in the North Adriatic late in the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

S and SW winds moderate to near gale, turning in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night to NE. Sea slight and moderate, increasing locally up to rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder in places, in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night with snow and significantly colder.
