IN THE SOUTH AND IN THE GREATER PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE FIRST PART OF THE DAY LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS 35-55 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY 5, IN THE OPEN POSSIBLY UP TO 6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A low with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central, during the day gradually in the rest of the Adriatic, NE and NW winds 16-32, in places up to 38 knots, easing in the evening, firstly in the north of the Adriatic. In the first part of the day in the South and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds 18-38 knots. Sea 4-5, in the open possibly up to 6, calming in the North Adriatic in the evening to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, along the coast with a risk of a little snow or sleet, mainly in the North Adriatic. Air temperatures significantly lower, firstly in the northern part.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale and gale force NW and NE winds, gradually easing, most lately in the extreme south, while in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night again moderate SW and SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, locally in the first part of the night still up to rough, in the open of the South Adriatic up to very rough. Gradual clearing is expected firstly in the North Adriatic.
