IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC THIS MORNING GUSTS OF NE, TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY OF NW and N WINDS 35-45, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT BREIFLY UP TO 55 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TOWARD EVENING.

A trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still NE and NW winds 10-20 knots, easing this morning. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, during the morning gradually in the rest of the Central Adriatic, and around midday in the South Adriatic, SE winds 4-14, strengthening to 10-20 knots, firstly in the North Adriatic. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but cloud increase around midday, bringing rain, showers and thunder in places before the evening, mainly in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

SE winds turning firstly in the North, during the night gradually in the rest of the Adriatic, to moderate to strong NW and N, in places of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic briefly up to near gale force. Sea slight, in the South and in the open of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, but partial clearing is expected from the second part of the night.
