A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SW and SE winds 8-18, in places up to 24, turning in the North Adriatic in the evening to NE, locally in the open sea to NW, 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with rain in places, mainly in the North, in the evening in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, when isolated rain showers and thunder are also likely.
