A trough with cold front is shifting eastwards, while a new one is expected to approach from the west during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Along the coast NE, toward the open sea NW winds, 8-16, in the South Adriatic up to 20, easing and turning in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the evening to SE and SW 8-16, south of Porer up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Clearing, but in the South Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Moderate to fresh SE and SW, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic turning during the forenoon to moderate to strong NW winds. Sea smoooth or slight, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. No significant change in air temperatures.
