IN THE SOUTH, DURING THE DAY LOCALLY IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, SEA 5, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY POSSIBLY UP TO 6. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A low over the Ligurian Sea is deepening and it is expected to shift toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and S winds 16-32, in the South, toward the evening in the open of a part of the Central Adriatic, up to 36 knots. In the extreme north of the Adriatic around midday winds turning to NE, in the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic briefly to NW, 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, in the South, from midday locally in a part of the Central Adriatic, 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

Strong and near gale force, toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to gale force SE and S winds. In the North Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds, spreading to the rest of the region. Sea slight and moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough, in the open of the South Adriatic during the night possibly up to very rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder.
