A low with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the western Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, in the North Adriatic NE winds, 15-25, in the Velebit Channel and toward the open of the Central and South Adriatic till the end of the day 25-35 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the open late in the day to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North Adriatic moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE, in the rest of the Adriatic strong and near gale force, in places up to gale force, SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, toward the open sea up to rough. Air temperatures a little lower in the North and a little higher in the rest of the Adriatic.
