IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC OF NW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AGAIN GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 35, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a weakened frontal disturbance will be shifting more northward.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 8-18, in the South Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel at first up to 22, easing in the afternoon to 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, only in the South Adriatic during the forenoon 3-4, and along the coast in evening mainly 1-2. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NW, along the coast calm or light NE winds. Only in the North Adriatic NE winds will strengthen briefly to moderate to strong. Sea smooth, in the North, at first in the open of the South Adriatic as well, up to slight. Fine or fair.
