SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of low pressure lies over the Central Mediterranean, while a field of high pressure lies more to the north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and E, in the extreme south of the Adriatic SE winds, 15-25, in the Velebit Channel 30-40 knots, easing in the afternoon. Sea 3-4. Visibility 5-15 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic with sleet and snow. Air temperatures will drop.

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, mainly in the Central and South Adriatic. In the North and Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds, easing in the second part of the night. Elsewhere moderate to strong SE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic up to moderate.
