IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 80 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT UP TO 5. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of low pressure over the Central Mediterranean is still deepening a little, while a field of high pressure lies more to the north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the greater part of the Adriatic NE winds 8-18, only in places up to 22, in the Velebit Channel up to 26, strengthening in the evening to 12-24, in the northern part up to 34 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic mainly E and SE winds 12-22, in places in the evening up to 28 knots. Sea mainly 2-3, in the open and in the Velebit Channel during the night increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, along the coast of the North Adriatic with snow, and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.

Moderate to near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong E and SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic up to rough. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, in places along the coast of the North Adriatic with sleet and snow.
