IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and E WINDS 35-50 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN 5, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC POSSIBLY UP TO 6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over the Adriatic is filling up and a low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is deepening, while a ridge of high pressure is extending from the northeast.

In the North Adriatic NE winds 15-35, in the Velebit Channel up to 45 knots. Elsewhere NE, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE winds, 12-28, easing to 10-20, but strengthening again late in the day to 12-26 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open up to 5, in the North Adriatic possibly up to 6. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, in the North Adriatic with a risk of snow. Isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the south of the Adriatic.
