SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN 5, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 6. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is slowly intensifying toward the Adriatic and a cold front is approaching from the north, while a broad field of low pressure lies over the Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the open of the South Adriatic during the forenoon still E and SE winds, 14-28, in places up to 34, in the Velebit Channel up to 44 knots, easing a little around midday and strengthening again in the evening. Sea 3-4, in the Velebit Channel and in the open 4-5. Partly clear. In the open sea variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to near gale, in places gale force and in the Velebit Channel up to storm force NE winds. Sea moderate, locally rough, and in the North Adriatic possibly up to very rough. A new heavier cloud increase, bringing rain and thunder, mainly in the open sea. Air temperatures will drop.
