IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A low over the South Adriatic is gradually filling up and shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Elsewhere NW winds 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to snow. In the North, South and in a part Central Adriatic variably cloudy with sleet and snow, mainly toward the open sea and in the Velebit Channel. Elsewhere mostly clear. Very cold.

Mostly clear. Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. Toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to fresh NW winds. Sea slight and moderate.
