The low over the Adriatic is expected to deepen and to shift eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 30, easing in the afternoon to 10-20 knots. Elsewhere SE winds strengthening to 15-30, in the South Adriatic up to 36, in the open sea up to 46, easing in the Central Adriatic in the afternoon and turning to NW 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, in the South Adriatic 4-6. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, more in the northern part of the Adriatic during the forenoon and in the southern in the afternoon.

Variably cloudy with a risk of rain, showers and thunder. In the North Adriatic moderate to strong NE, in the Central moderate to fresh NW winds dying away, and in the South Adriatic strong and gale force SE easing and turning to light to moderate W and NW. Sea slight and moderate, in the South Adriatic rough and very rough at first.
