The low over the Adriatic is expected to deepen and to shift eastwards.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North Adriatic NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28, easing to 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic SE winds 16-32, in the South up to 36, toward the open up to 42 knos, easing in the Central Adriatic in the afternoon and in a part of the South Adriatic during the night, and turning to NW winds 8-18, in the south of the Adriatic briefly up to 24 knots. Sea 3-4, in the Central Adriatic 5, and in the South 5-6, calming gradually late in the day and during the night. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist. In the North Adriatic fresh, only in the Velebit Channel up to strong NE winds. In the rest of the Adriatic moderate to strong NW winds, easing gradually, only in extreme south at first still strong and gale force SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the South Adriatic still rough and very rough at first. Variably cloudy with a risk of rain, showers and thunder.
