SYNOPSIS

The field of low pressure over the Adriatic is slowly filling up, while a new low is expected to generate in the central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 10-20, easing this morning to 4-12, in the Velebit Channel to 16 knots. In the Central and South Adriatic NE winds 10-20, easing during the forenoon, then variable winds 4-12 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair, in the extreme south of the Adriatic still cloudy with rain in places.

In the North Adriatic light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE winds. In the Central and South Adriatic moderate E and SE winds. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy, still with rain in places of the extreme south of the Adriatic.
