From the middle of the night local gusts of NE and NW winds strengthening to 35-50, in the Velebit Channel up to 60 knots. Fog in places, a risk of visibility less than 200 m. Thunderstorms in places.
SYNOPSIS
A through with frontal system is shifting over the Adriatic while from the middle of the night intensifying of a ridge of high is expected from the north.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE wind 6-16 knots, gradually diminishing completely. Sea 2-3, temporarily calming. Visibility 5-15 km, in places less than 1 km due to fog, possible to be even less than 200 m. Mainly cloudy, scattered rain and showers with thunder in places. From the middle of the night gradual clearing up is expected in the North and Central Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
NE and NW winds gradually strengthening to moderate and strong, locally also of near gale force and the sea intensifying to slight, in the open and in the Velebit Channel also moderate. Still in the beginning a risk of fog. From the middle of the night gradual clearing up is expected in the North and Central Adriatic while it will remain variably cloudy with scattered rain or a shower with thunder in the South Adriatic.
