IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS. IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC VISIBILITY LOCALLY LESS THAN 1 KM DUE TO FOG.

SYNOPSIS

The field of low pressure over the central Mediterranean is slowly filling up, while a frontal system is shifting eastwards. A ridge of high pressure is gradually intensifying from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 8-16, strengthening toward the end of the day to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel till the end of the day 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist, in the Central Adriatic even to less than 1 km due to fog. Variably cloudy with a little rain in places.

Variably cloudy. Moderate to fresh, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, NE winds. Toward the open sea of the South Adriatic moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the Velebit Channel and toward the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
