IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COAST IN THE AFTERNOON.
SYNOPSIS
The field of a little raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
NW winds 6-16 knots. Along the coast this morning and again during the night calm or NE, in the afternoon W and SW winds 4-14 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 12-22, easing around midday to 6-16 knots. Sea 1-2, only locally up to 3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist around 4 km. Mostly clear, but along the coast in the afternoon variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Light NW, along the coast calm or light NE winds, only in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. Sea smooth. Mostly clear, but still with some variable cloudiness along the coast at first. Mist in places.
