IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. A VERY LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COAST AROUND MIDDAY.

The field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, and some moist and unstable air in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or NW winds 4-12, in the south of the Adriatic up to 16 knots. In places along the coast this morning still NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots, mainly in the area of Senj. Sea mainly 1-2, locally up to 3. Visibility 10-20, during the night and in the morning possibly around 4 km due to mist. Mostly clear, but along the coast around midday a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
