The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, along the coast SW winds as well, 4-12, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 20 knots. Late in the day wind will turn to NE 6-16, while in the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic still light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic partial cloud increase.

Variably cloudy, in the North Adriatic with isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the extreme north and in the open sea. Light to fresh NE, in the Velebit Channel possibly up to strong NE winds. Sea smooth or slight.
