IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, DURING THE NIGHT ELSEWHERE AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 55 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AS WELL.
SYNOPSIS
The ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the northwest, while moist and unstable air is circulating in high levels.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North Adriatic NE winds 8-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots. Elsewhere NW winds 8-16 knots, turning to NE late in the day. Sea 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of rain or showers with thunder in the North Adriatic. Cool.

Variably cloudy, in the South Adriatic with a risk of rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder. Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate.
