SYNOPSIS

The weakened cold front will be shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify a little from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots, easing a little in the afternoon and strengthening again late in the day and during the night. In the rest of the Adriatic mainly SE winds 4-12, in places along the coast during the night NE and E winds 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel at first and again during the night possibly 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In places variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast.

Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel during the night up to strong NE winds, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic SE. Sea smooth or slight, in the Velebit Channel during the night possibly up to moderate. In places along the coast variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.
