SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 10-20, in places up to 24, and in the Velebit Channel NE at first still up to 28 knots. West of Istria NE and NW winds 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Only in places variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE, toward the open sea NW winds, easing a little in the North Adriatic. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. In places along the coast of the South and North Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
