SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure has intensified toward the Adriatic from the west, while a shallow high level trough still lies more to the east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and W winds 4-14, in the South and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic 8-18, in places in the afternoon up to 24, and along the coast in the morning NE 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NW winds, easing a little toward the end of the day and turning along the coast to light to moderate NE, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic possibly up to moderate. Mostly clear.
