IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, IN PLACES ALONG THE COAST DURING THE NIGHT OF NE WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 8-18, in the South and Central Adriatic 12-24, easing a little during the night and turning along the coast to NE 6-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 10-20, in places at first up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and Central Adriatic 3-4, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast.

Light to moderate, in the Central and South Adriatic up to fresh NW, along the coast NE winds. In the Velebit Channel moderate, in places up to fresh NE winds.
