LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL, LATE IN THE DAY IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The trough with frontal disturbance is slowly shifting across the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure is gradually intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in places up to 24, and in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NW and NE winds 4-14, in places briefly up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the evening NE winds strengthening to fresh, only in places up to strong. Sea smooth or slight, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but in the northern part partial clearing is expected.
