IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL, IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS, EASING TOMORROW AROUND MIDDAY. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

The trough with frontal disturbance is slowly shifting across the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is slowly intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 8-18, in the evening and during the night up to 22, and in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NE and NW winds 6-16, in the evening and during the night NE 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic partial clearing is expected.

Moderate to fresh, in the Velebit Channel up to strong NE winds, easing during the forenoon and turning mainly to NW. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.
