Forenoon gusts of NE wind 35-40 in places, in the Velebit Channel up to 50 knots while in the afternoon still in some places at the foot of Velebit up to 40 knots. There is a chance for light isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high is stationary over the Adriatic while humid and unstable air is still circulating at a high altitude.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE wind 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, forenoon diminishing to 4-14 and mostly turning to NW and SW winds and still in the beginning in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the morning locally in the Velebit Channel 4. Visibility 10-20 km, Variably cloudy and hot with a chance for showers with thunder in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic while mostly clear in the North Adriatic, only in some places with moderate cloudiness.
