Local gusts of NE and NW wind 35-55, still in the morning in the Velebit Channel of NE wind up to 65 knots. Thunderstorms in places, mainly in the South Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low is shifting further on towards the south-east while a ridge of high is slowly intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 16-28, still in the morning locally in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots. Sea 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine to fair while mainly in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, showers and thunder but in the afternoon partial clearing up is expected, except in the extreme south of the Adriatic.

Moderate to strong NE and NW winds. Sea slight to moderate. Mostly clear while only in some places in the extreme south of the Adriatic variable cloudiness with a chance for showers with thunder.
