SYNOPSIS
The ridge of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the Velebit Channel and in the South Adriatic NE winds 8-16 knots, easing, and almost calm in the rest of the Adriatic. During the day NW, in places along the coast SW winds 6-12, in the open sea toward the Strait of Otranto in the afternoon up to 16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the Velebit Channel in the morning and in the open toward the Strait of Otranto up to 3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear with some passing moderate cloudiness along the coast in the afternoon.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic almost calm, elsewhere light to moderate NE and NW winds. Sea smooth, in the open of the South Adriatic toward the Strait of Otranto up to slight. Mostly clear, but gradual cloud increase is expected in the North Adriatic.
