IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT, IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL TILL THE MORNING, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 70 KNOTS. SEA IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING 4-5.

SYNOPSIS

The low over the Ligurian Sea is deepening and it is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 6-16, gradually strengthening to 14-26 knots. In the North Adriatic during the night NE winds 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing rapidly to 2-3, in the evening and during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic mainly cloudy with scattered rain, particularly in the evening and during the night, when isolated rain showers and thunder are also possible. Heavier cloud increase is expected gradually in the Central and South Adriatic, during the night with rain, showers and thunder.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong SE winds.
