ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TILL THE END OF THE DAY, PARTICULARLY IN THE OPEN SEA. GUSTS OF NE WINDS EXPECTED DURING THE NIGHT, REACHING 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the west, while a trough is slowly withdrawing from the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, turning in the evening again to NE, and strengthening firstly in the North Adriatic to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear and a little warmer, only in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain, showers and thunder, particularly in the open sea.

Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. Sea increasing to slight, in the open and in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. Mostly clear with some clouds in places at first.
