IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOMORROW FROM MIDDAY A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC, MAINLY FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.

The ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic, while a trough lies over the central and southern Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in places in the afternoon NW winds, 6-16, in the Velebit Channel and in the South Adriatic at first and during the night NE winds up to 22 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic tomorrom morning wind will turn to SE 8-18, toward the open up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic at first 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder during the night, mainly from the middle of the night.

Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel and in the South Adriatic during the night moderate to strong, NE winds. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning, NE winds will turn to moderate to fresh, toward the open sea up to strong SE. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic during the day increasing to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the forenoon variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
